Thutmose III, sometimes called Thutmose the Great, was the fifth pharaoh of the 18th Dynasty of Egypt. The scarab represents Thutmose III sitting on his throne, and in front of him is a cartouche containing his name in hieroglyphics.
The scarab beetle was a significant symbol in ancient Egypt, representing the sun god Khepri and associated with rebirth and creation. The scarab amulet was also believed to offer protection and guidance in the afterlife.
Thutmose III, a powerful pharaoh of the New Kingdom, ruled during a time when Egypt had a strong presence in Canaan. His name and cartouches are often found on various artifacts, including scarabs, suggesting their enduring significance and the pharaoh's widespread influence.
