Pan was born with the legs of a goat and horns on his head, symbolizing his wild nature. His base of operations was in the wilds of Arcadia, where he was the chief of the satyrs, who were also half-goats. His Roman equivalent was Faunus. He was known in Greek mythology as a womanizer who had many lovers
