One of the most widely used motif in Ancient Archelogical Jewelley through Victorian times were Amphroras.
The Amphora was a container-vessel-vase-jug-pot that was used to store and or transport oil, water, perfume and grain. The pointed bottom on certain amphoras was a way of storing it upright, as the Bottom (pointed end) would go into the sand or dirt floor of that period of time’s dwellings in the Mediterranean world.
